Mama's Cordon Bleu version

I would like to give my commendation to my mama for preparing me a special viand for this day..Wow her version of "cordon bleu". I can't believe that my mom extended her effort to cook this recipe..Actually my mom's ability in cooking is quiet so far with my skills but I'm amazed for this deluxe food..

The right adjective should I give is scrumptious or delectable..

I can't believe that my mom is exploring for a great menu..Wow!!! I love my baon, can't wait for lunch.. I'll dig in ...

How to Make Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients

* 8 large skinless, boneless chicken breasts

* 8 slices of Kraft cheese

* 8 slices of smoked ham

* 1 egg, beaten

* 1 cup of seasoned flour

* 1 cup of breadcrumbs

STEPS

To prepare the chicken breasts, you can either cut into the thickest part of each fillet (not right through) and then open it out in a butterfly or you can cover them in plastic wrap and pound them flat with a meat mallet.

Season the open fillets with salt and black pepper. Place a cheese and ham slice on each fillet.fold the fillet in half to enclose the filling. You can also roll them and secure with toothpicks.

Coat each of the fillets in the flour, shaking off excess.Dip them in the egg and then roll in the dry crumbs,turning to get an even coat.

Either bake them in a lightly greased oven dish at 200 degrees C (400 degrees F) for about 40 minutes or fry in vegetable oil in a heavy based pan for 4 minutes on each side.
